Where and how do I apply?

  1. Go to www.SSA.gov to start your application.
    OR

  2. Call your local Social Security office to set up an appointment to go in or put in an application.


Should I wait to apply?

  1. No, waiting can cause you not to qualify for SSDI benefits.

  2. You are only insured for SSDI a period of time after you stopped working.


Do I qualify for SSI or SSDI?

It depends on may factors, including;

  1. Have you worked the last 5 out of ten years to qualify for SSDI?

  2. Are you married and does your spouse make too much to qualify for SSI?


Do I go to a hearing alone and who will represent me at my hearing?

  1. After our office completes the appeals for you, we then ask for a hearing in front of an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ).
